Introduction (Preview)
A. Aloha! My name is Ken Burns, and my topic tonight is: “Our Heavenly Father’s Great Healing Power.”
B. “Aloha! What a great word! One of the meanings of
that word is “love.” If you are here tonight to hear about our heavenly Father’s
great healing power and love, you are in the right place. My job tonight is to
present our heavenly Father’s message to you accurately and lovingly. Whenever anyone talks about God, Jesus Christ, the
Bible, holy spirit, angels, the Devil, evil spirits, or anything "spiritual," I
suggest you hold them to the following standard: Acts 10:33b: ". . . Now
therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are
commanded thee of God." You have a job too, if you decide to accept it. And that
is to do, to apply, what you hear. Please refer to these scriptures: (a) John 5:39 (“Search the scriptures . . .”);
(b) Acts
17:11 (“. . . they . . . searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”);
(c) 1
Thessalonians 5:21 (“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”); and (d) James
1:22 (“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own
selves”).”
C. I will be covering five (5) points with you tonight:
1. Our Heavenly Father Has Great Power!
2. Our Heavenly Father Has Great Love!
3. Our Heavenly Father Hates Death, Sickeness, Pain, and
Suffering
4. Our Adversary, the Devil, and His Evil Spirits Bring Death
and Sickness
5. Our Heavenly Father Has Made Life and Healing Available to
People through His Son, Jesus Christ
